Cookie Policy

1. What these technologies do

Cookies are small values a browser sends back to a site. Local storage saves preferences without automatically including them in every request. Coastal Apex Ventures LLC uses them for the functions below, not for advertising profiles.

2. Storage inventory

• coastal_cart_v2: essential first-party cookie containing a random cart identifier; up to 30 days, refreshed when set. HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax, and Secure on HTTPS. Links the browser to its saved bag and associated order-reference access, not a full card number.
• coastal_owner: essential first-party owner-login cookie containing a random session token; up to eight hours. HttpOnly, SameSite=Strict and Secure in production. Logout revokes the server session. It is used only by store operators, not for advertising.
• coastal_cookie_notice_v1: browser local storage recording essential-only acknowledgement, version, and time. The notice reappears after 180 days or when the setting is unavailable. Acknowledging it does not enable analytics or advertising.
• coastal_motion: local animation preference, retained until changed or cleared. Device reduced-motion settings still take priority.
• Legacy coastal_cart: an older preview cookie may remain until expiration. The current application does not use it for an active cart or individual-vial purchases.

3. Hosting, fonts, and checkout

Render hosts the storefront and database. Hosting infrastructure may process security and connection information under its own policies. Store operators use the essential owner session described above.

Google Fonts receives connection details when serving typefaces; that request is not an analytics cookie installed by this app. If you choose an enabled Stripe Checkout, Stripe may use essential payment and fraud-prevention cookies on its hosted page. Consult each provider’s privacy/cookie information.

4. Your choices

Choose Essential only in the banner, or use Cookie settings in the footer to see active functions and save acknowledgement. There is no Accept all tracking option because optional tracking is not installed. Saving settings does not subscribe you to marketing or authorize future tracking.

Delete or block storage through your browser. Blocking the cart cookie may prevent bag and order-reference access. Clearing local storage resets the notice and motion preference. These actions affect that browser, not database or provider records; use the privacy form to request deletion.

5. Signals and changes

Cookie settings recognizes Global Privacy Control. No sale, advertising sharing, or targeted-advertising tracking is enabled. We do not introduce tracking when Do Not Track is present. Essential functions continue.

Before optional analytics or advertising technology is added, the relevant notice, choices, and required prior consent must be implemented. This policy will be updated to reflect material changes in actual storage practices.
